What Do You Think of Emotional Freedom Technique – In Fact What is This EFT?

I watched video clips the other day on You Tube on EFT, after having a few days of practicing this simple tapping technique called Emotional Freedom Therapy – and I’m finding it all rather fascinating. You’ll see many many more below on this page. I’ve just been learning about it – well actually self-tutoring myself really. It requires that you tap your fingers on selective meridian points on the body to release blocked energy (the underlying causes of physical problems, traumas, negative beliefs, and emotional stress), and therefore re-programme an aspect of the subconscious. I was very surprised and inspired by the clarity and positive results I got from following a sequence of words and actions through the EFT basic process I found on several of the film clips I viewed on the net.

It is absurdly simple to do that you can easily doubt its power, and you might even feel not only a little skeptical but even stupid that this can be doing anything. It was a few hours later for me, and especially the next day that I really noticed that I felt very balanced and positive in myself, not worrying like previously about one particular issue that had bothered me before. I clocked that something had shifted in me, faded away in my emotional memory of it, as it were. I’m now intrigued.

I drabbled with EFT some 3 years ago, not really knowing what I was doing. And thought that it was potentially a useful tool, very simple, pretty strange in part, though didn’t understand it proper from experience. Many people back then followed a similar script (words and phase you repeat as you tap the formula using your fingers over body areas), so I thought that it could get repetitious and boring. However, genuinely effective results means, as I discovered yesterday, boredom is unlikely to become an issue. Essentially it comes down to using it in a way that is useful to you, on the revelent issues that you have that you want to clear, so that it is purposeful and meaningful. I don’t think I gave it that much practice before to meaningfully test it. Although now, I am considering doing a practitioners course on the subject as it’s really stimulated something.

Since doing raw-food eating with my diet, my long standing weight-issues, and refined sugar cravings have being resolved, which is great – but obviously food is not the whole jigsaw to well-beings. Your thoughts and emotions also play a big part in that. Healing on all levels means at times looking at the attitudes and deeper fears that can surface when you stop medicating your emotions with food. For they are often the real reasons why we are ill in the first place. However unnerving that might be at times. So, lets face it, we all have them – issues – no need to be shy around them. Come on now, what’s holding you back in your life? You can tap it if you want. What do you procrastinate about? You can tap on that. What limiting beliefs do you cling to? You can try and collapse it down through tapping.

I want to be able to have the tools to resolve deep seated limited beliefs as and when I recognise them. So that I can have the freedom to deliberately make the Law of Attraction really work wonderfully for me. That would mean purposely and consciously intending my desires and goals for my life’s direction and achieving them. Once you know of the workings of the Law of Attraction, it means that you have to take responsibility of how you are thinking and feeling to be able to change your experiences. You’ll probably find you’ll want to pay more attention to what you are paying attention to. How you’re thinking and feeling, and speaking your expectations, and expressing your experiences to other people. Negative thoughts and beliefs that are acknowledged and dissolved, can actually free you up to let go the inner blocks and successfully launch your new creations, coming from your ideas. I’m sure EFT has a big place in helping us at this time, this new era, New Age time we’re in. In a simple, easy and inexpensive self-empowering EFT way, amongst many other ways.

EFT and Raw Foods, Do They Have a Connection?

Ever thought of using the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and tapping your way through your cravings, addictions, wavering committment, and all the negative core beliefs you have, out to the other side? Processing the blocks that stop you time and time again from doing your best with your raw food diet lifestyle and winning with your goal? People use the EFT tools to help themselves lose weight, control their eating, and free themselves from the emotional need to feed their feelings, stifle their pain, boredom, worries and anxieties etc. In fact these are some of the very common issues that EFT is applied to.

I am sure for those of you who want to (who have learnt the simple easy technique yourself, or who have a practitioner or friend who can help you go through an EFT process as an when you need it), you can use your EFT whenever you want to. On whatever issue you want; on whatever minute block comes up for you around eating, organising yourself, and socialising; and in the moment. To help you let go and go more healthy. Having an ‘all or nothing’ mentally about food is one way that you can be so determined to become (should I say more ’perfect’ and make changes but fall right off again, feeling the worst. That ‘all or nothing’ vibration (and way of being in the world) might be something to work on, so you can be more flexible and kinder to yourself whislt on your raw journey. There’s an example of the inner monologue that one could tap on to create change:

Even though I’m inconsistent with my eating, and feel pathetically weak that I’m bingeing on junk YET AGAIN, especially in the evenings, and I don’t really feel good about that, I deeply love and accept myself anyway, cos I’m okay”.

Try tapping aloud on this statement, and if it’s too long, or needs tweaking to be more relevent to you, change the words as you see fit. Tap a round of sequences until you definitely start to FEEL better about it inside. See if it helps you shifts your inner emotions, and therefore your attachments. I believe more and more that the only thing that stops us in fear. Fear makes us not trust all the wonderful things that are possible for us. Any tools that helps support your rawfood diet, and works for your highest good, is what I call a friend.

I  am loving EFT so much at the moment. I’m on such a sharp learning curve with it, that i have to open a link so it to can have some exclusive space. This techique is so amazing that I so want to give it enough attention, and make it a practice in my dail life, along with other special things that make up my spiritual routine of revealing my greatness. I heard a guy say that EFT gives you the tools to cure yourself  and I thought, yes that’s true (even after only dabbling a few weeks).  And another said ‘emotions cause physical things’ which explains the simple principle of how we get sick. Below is another short clip of Carol Look, doing EFT group work, and I think that she is great.  Her EFT training oozes such confidence and clarity, she’s a great role-model for all EFT students I think.  And my news today  (5.10.08) is that I completely a 3 day training course in EFT (my first course so far), and learned alot of new things about this technique through lots of practical exercises.  I feel really inspired now to thoroughly learn it through personal experence.  I want to establish a  more daily practice on working on myself and my issues; deepening my understanding through further reading; and working with other people and using it with them to become  both an expert in the therapy, and be an uplifter… Feels good, the thought of it.  So to check out the 2 minute short film, you need to cut and paste the link below into your toolbar at the top of your computer to access this little video clip, nice and easy.  Try doing it now – and follow Carrol’s positive affirmations around thought-forms on abundance, simply by tapping them into your body yourself.  Just follow what she’s doing.

I’ve tried this tapping sequence by ELise Le Beau on myself. It’s great when you are panicking about something. When you can reduce some of the intensity of the stress, then and only then can you breathe properly, think straight, and take some action, that being the appropriate action… such as chanting daimoku.

Chanting daimoku – that is chanting aloud the phrase Nam Myoho Renge Kyo as a meditation – raises your vibration; puts yourself in vibrational alignment with Source Energy which is who you are; and enables you to access the wisdom of the world of Buddhahood that exists in the very depths of your eternal Being. This is your internal guidance system; and it is your courage, wisdom, compassion and life-force. It feels like, and I would say is a very direct way to accessing this infinite Buddha nature within.

EFT is a practical working stepping-stone tool to enabling that process of eliminating what doesn’t work for you and changing the way that you resonant – as it helps you dissolve negative emotionals and limiting beliefs. This is the common way that it is used. Or by saying postive statements or affirmations that you want to programme into the brain by tapping the 7 main meridian points whilst you say them.

It doesn’t taste as good as a simple green smoothie, or a big chunk of watermelon of course, but it’s nice and simple and refreshing effective for a lots of people, who are discovering the power of Energy Pyschology of late.

Here’s an interesting variation.  EFT Master, Carol Tuttle is showing us here how to open up the crown and third eye to power up and enhance our intuition (what I think of as inner-tuition from your Higher Self) and discernment. Then she taps on them to affirm and activate their opening.  I like this simplicity, I think I’m gonna try this next one, see what the experience brings.  Releasing any energetic stress…cool. The rest are cool to so I had to post these one as well.


Some Short Hand EFT To Try 

Hi lovely people out there.  You okay today?  Still enjoying your raw food meals and lifestyle. And producing or inventing new raw food cuisine specials to keep you busy, satiated, and creative? Today I made some lovely sunflower cookies (that we just so delicious, I’m so proud of myself for coming up with this combination of ingredients to produce something so tasty – my secret at the moment). It really does have a texture  and taste like a soft biscuit, and fulfills the sweet cookie yearning I can get at times. Sweet cravings I can sometimes get last at night, when I should really be in bed, but I’m up on the computer, late at night (again!) and it’s just too late to toss up a meal.

Do you still get cravings for certain foods since going raw? Like crunchy try food that might resemble crisps, or cheese, or something abit for oily. Thank goodness for raw cocao anyway for those who need their chocolate, and for those like me who is pacified by a handful of raw (not really raw) cashew nuts. I put them in the dehydrator for a few hours to crunch them up a bit more crispy which sorts me out no end. Dare I say it, dry cashews drizzled over with a wee bit of raw agave necter, even from a miniture bowl with a spoon – saves me on cravings everytime. I just think i need to work on the cashew nuts now, because they are becoming the craving themselves.  Mmm, really nice.

If your like me in that sense, why not have a go at putting this above video clip into practice and see if you can tap away the craving as it arises ( especially in the area of cooked food cravings). I’m learning EFT at the moment, and it’s really been quite effective I think, in shifting some emotions and thoughts in me over the last week. They just disolved in the process of tapping them gone, to the point that when I thought about certain memories the next day after going through the process, I couldn’t access the negative emotion attached to them - the memory just appeared neutral, even today 5 days later. Amazing…  See that it does for you, its dead easy.

Since raw food transformation can takes some time, even a few years for alot of people, (often over eating on sugars and fats as a consequence) you might need to try other things to speed up that process, or at least make it a smoother experience. And of course, cooked food cravings being an even bigger battle for some as well (fortunately I’m so greatful that I don’t live in that particular space anymore), I would be happy to suggest trying EFT on yourself. I wish I put this into practice earlier. It might have made my early raw food days some 7 years ago now more sustaining.
