SO WHAT REASON WOULD I CHOOSE TO EAT RAW?
The Raw Food diet eaten long term, is is the closest thing we get to fasting whilst eating. A person can more fully cleanse the body, detoxifying the cells whilst joyfully enjoying delicious meals. You can heal your body from illness; look and feel younger; be more energised, feel more vibrant, have the energy to live out your passion; lose amazing amounts of excess weight (weight means waste from our stores, the fat cells); and get the full benefits of eating live whole-foods. Complete with their nutrients in tact, natural water, natural fibres, and natural flavours that nature intended for all of us on the plant.

WHY EXACTLY? PLEASE EXPLAIN AS I LIKE HOT FOOD!
Because raw foods are not heated above 118 degrees (ideally 105F which is within the human body’s normal fever temperature), enzymes are not destroyed in the cooking process. Enzymes are the life force in food, They are the workers of the cell, catalysts in every action and reaction within in the body. They enable plant foods to digest themselves, unlike denatured cooked food. They aid in digestion and absorption of food and will not cause toxicity in the body as most cooked foods do. It is said that vibrant health can be either created or destroyed based on what we eat. Whereas cooking de-natures the natural structures – molecules of proteins, vitamins and minerals, plant fibre, and create water-loss in foods, raw whole-foods stand superior in their integrity to fully nourish the body. Disgestive enzymes supports this process. Raw foods also have a slightly alkaline PH which is the ideal status for the body, and which is necessary for optimal health. An over acid body is found in most people with acute or chronic diseases. Without a doubt fresh raw foods help to de-acidify the body, and create space and fluidity as we become able to release more and more of our internalised mucus. The more we cleanse and hydrate the more efficient we will also be at regulating our body temperature so we don’t suffer with the cold or the heat. Hot foods can lose their appeal also when room temperature foods become the norm in time.

WHAT DO RECKON IS A BALANCED RAW FOOD DIET?
In a nutshell – Uncooked Fruits, Vegetables, Dark Green Leafy Vegetables, Nuts, Seeds and their Oils, Live Sprouts, Sea Vegetables, make up a balanced raw diet. This is a fresh, raw, ripe, organic, wild (where possible), vegan plant based diet. These foods are consumed whole or chopped, blended, shredded, diced; spiralised, juiced, homogenated, marinated, sun-dried, freezed, dehydrated and more, to make delicious, tasty gourmet raw-food meals that can beat almost any standard cooked recipe, if you are prepared to experiment.
